ToF Sensor

ToF VL53L4CX USB Module

Single-zone time-of-flight distance sensor with a USB-C interface, built around the ST VL53L4CX — VL53L4CD optics with histogram ranging on top, extending the maximum distance to 6 m. It detects multiple objects within its narrow 18° field of view with an accurate distance for each, and dynamic smudge compensation keeps measurements reliable at 30 Hz even behind a dirty cover glass. A strong choice for long, narrow detection zones — corridors, doorways, parking gates. Over USB-C the device shows up as a virtual COM port (CDC) and streams readings with a simple protocol — no I²C wiring, MCU code or drivers required. Works with anything that can open a serial port, from a PC to a Raspberry Pi or Jetson.
