Short-range precision time-of-flight sensor with a USB-C interface, built around the ST VL53L4CD — measuring from 1 mm up to 1.3 m. It is the proximity specialist of the family: a narrow 18° field of view, millimeter-level linearity even at very close distances, and 100 Hz ranging — the fastest in the lineup. An autonomous low-power mode with a programmable wake-up threshold suits battery-powered devices. Ideal for touchless switches, hand detection and fill-level monitoring. Over USB-C the device shows up as a virtual COM port (CDC) and streams readings with a simple protocol — no I²C wiring, MCU code or drivers required. Works with anything that can open a serial port, from a PC to a Raspberry Pi or Jetson.
