ToF VL53L7CX USB Module
Ultra-wide multizone time-of-flight sensor with a USB-C interface, built around the ST VL53L7CX — VL53L5CX multizone ranging behind ultra-wide metasurface optics: 60° × 60°, 90° diagonal. It returns the same 4×4/8×8 depth map with per-zone multi-target detection and motion indication; the wide square field of view covers a whole room corner, trading maximum range down to 3.5 m. Pin- and driver-compatible with the VL53L5CX. Ideal for room monitoring and near-field safety zones in robotics. Over USB-C the device shows up as a virtual COM port (CDC) and streams the depth map with a simple protocol — no I²C wiring, MCU code or drivers required. Works with anything that can open a serial port, from a PC to a Raspberry Pi or Jetson.
