ToF Sensor

ToF VL53L1CB USB

Single-zone time-of-flight distance sensor with a USB-C interface, built around the ST VL53L1CB — the longest-range chip of the family, measuring up to 8 m in long-distance mode. It runs ST's histogram firmware on VL53L1 silicon: multi-object detection, autonomous sequential-ROI scanning (2×2, 3×3 or 4×4 grids), and crosstalk immunity beyond 80 cm even behind a smudged cover glass. That makes it the pick for people detection, parking sensors and drones. Over USB-C the device shows up as a virtual COM port (CDC) and streams readings with a simple protocol — no I²C wiring, MCU code or drivers required. Works with anything that can open a serial port, from a PC to a Raspberry Pi or Jetson.
