ToF VL53L3CX USB Module

Single-zone time-of-flight distance sensor with a USB-C interface, built around the ST VL53L3CX — a histogram-based multi-target specialist ranging up to 3 m. It detects up to four targets in the same field of view simultaneously and reports an accurate distance for each, and its histogram processing makes it immune to cover-glass crosstalk and smudge beyond 80 cm. No zones or programmable ROI — it trades flexibility for measurement accuracy, which suits presence detection and people counting. Over USB-C the device shows up as a virtual COM port (CDC) and streams readings with a simple protocol — no I²C wiring, MCU code or drivers required. Works with anything that can open a serial port, from a PC to a Raspberry Pi or Jetson.
